Is it recommended to lock the clutch pedal out when not being used for a while? The previous owner of the VAC I bought told me to do so. Ive never done that before with other tractors and never had a problem with the the clutch stuck after winter storage.

Just had this issue with a 730 a couple days ago. Sat 3-4 years always a great runner. Fired it up and clutch stuck. Going to put a little diesel in the clutch housing and let it run a little while. Maybe limber things up.

I always thought that was more of a safety device. Im guessing the constant strain on the springs has no effect. Ill go with it this winter.

I would think it could make it worse. The space created would make it more inclined to rust. But I could be wrong.
