In 1 of the farm magazines is an ad to join a class action suit if you used certain brands of 303 Hydraulic Fluid. I've been harping for years to not be using straight hydraulic fluid. Straight hydraulic fluid is nothing but panther pi$$ with an anti foaming agent. You should be using a premium Transmission-Hydraulic Oil such as Hy-Tran and others. The Transmission part of the oil means it has an EP Extreme Pressure rating which straight hydraulic oil does not have. No manufacturer I know of recommends straight hydraulic oil in their transmissions-differentials. I wouldn't use it in an isolated hydraulic system either.
