Have a 770 diesel power shift in the shop right now. Was thinking it needs a torque limiter as there is no surge when you push the clutch, it will go into any gear without grinding and doesn?t move, no hydraulics/steering, but the pto is spinning which to me seems strange. The service book states if there are no hydraulics it?s the torque limiter. Just wondering why the pto would still be moving? Likely the hydraulic pump is the issue not the torque limiter? Thanks.

Determined that the spline and coupler to the hydraulic pump were stripped out.

Good man to find that! Some inexperienced guys go on a long expensive goose chase to get to the same place.

I do not have any 70 series. So this is just useful(maybe) knowledge for me. Thank you for posting. As DKase said you figured it out and showed the world. thanks gobble
