Hello, New to Forum and new to David Brown hydraulics. When I try to use the lift armes ten hydraulic oil is coming out of the base of the thing in the red circle on the photo. Anyone who know what it is and what I can do with it? I have currently drained all the oil and changed filter. Before I refill and bleed I'd like to know if theres anything I can do?
Cheers

Ok got it. Suppose I can unscrew the two 7/16" screws and take the assembly to the bench. The spring is inside the valve itself - right?

None of my David Browns have a dump valve, so I've never dealt with them before. But I think those threads I linked have some info on how to go about it. And the service manual (in the other link I sent you) definitely will have a protocol on how to replace all the O-rings.

Now the vavle is out and it is clear the orings are shot. It's 1/2" screws by the way.
Anything else I should do while I am there?
