Bracket Idea

After finishing mowing today I got to thinking about my toolbox and greasegun bracket. I built my two brackets as their need arose but if I were to do it again I would make it a all-in-one bracket of one piece of steel. It would have 3 bends and 4 drilled holes and would be simple and effective. Could be bolted to left or right side too. It looks like those mounting holes are used all the way up to the 570 as well so it could be used 300-570 I would think. Figured I would pass it along for any of you that would be interested in fabbing one up for your tractors. Please pardon the chicken scratch drawing.

Looks good! One year cutting silage with a my 1030 and 300 Case cutter the grease gun holder like yours snapped loose while opening a field. Next pass picking up the downed corn the cutter picked up the grease gun. Spent two days replacing the cutter head and shear bar and support and cutter head bearing holders. Expensive lesson!

My thought process on the greasegun up under the toolbox is that I can keep an eye on both almost constantly since it is in my normal field of view. Having the top of the greasegun facing the front of the tractor (and mounted that high up) helps to deflect and snagging branches which I should seldom have around that part of the tractor. If I was to use the otherbracket it would raise the greasegun a little higher even.
