wd45 spark plugs

I was removing the spark plug on a wd45. The plug did not screw direct into the head./ There is a adaptor or bushing about a inch long. Is this a normal set up on these tractors?
Thanks

It's an aftermarket gadget known as a "spark plug anti-fouler".

GOOGLE that for the why's and whatfors.

Those are probably anti fouler devises use to keep plugs from fouling. I'd take them out and install NGK3112 plugs and see how it runs that way

The only time I used them on a Farmall Cub they took a way a LOT of power. While they might work I am not a fan of them. Maybe on one cylinder for a while until you can
fix the main problem. Possibly advancing the timing might help as firing inside the thing must retard the ignition of the main combustion chamber.
