D17 shuttle clutch won?t say in the high side with out holding it in stays in the low side all day an help
 
There is a 3/8" stop bolt that the shuttle lever comes up against when in forward. Remove that bolt and see what happens. If it still jumps out of forward, the ramp plate and rollers for forward side are worn out. No amount of shimming will cure that. Changing shims might make it worse.
 
I wrote my response in a hurry. I now think you are referring to the Power Director clutch (Low-N-High) as a Shuttle clutch (Rev-N-Forward). Problem and repair is still the same. Remove the 3/8" stop bolt for the hand lever and see what happens.
 
I had one that would jump out of high too,if I help it in high with my foot for a little bit, it
would stay in high. It was so wore out I sent it down the road,I am trying to think what was not
worn out. I do believe the fan blade was OK.
 
What is lever next to clutch pedal for? It locks pedal down.On WD tractor.
