Rotobaler

Hi Folks

I'm resurrecting this old rotoballer and I need to be able to move it around but there is some contraption on the tongue I haven;t seen before. it had a spring latch on top of a single leaf (about 1/2" thick) and a star shaped disk underneath. Any idea on what this is and how to get it hooked up to something to tow it?

It is basically a ball hitch that might be in the toolbox look around the baler. you'll see it if it's there

its called a ball and socket hitch. Was common on them back in the 1950's.

Well, here are a couple of photos to show what is on the tongue now. Is this part of what you call a ball and socket hitch?

Yup, you need the ball hitch that bolts on the tractor drawbar.
