my 1950 wd has a pretty badly worn shifter plus its hard to reach
i have a 1955 wd45 parts tractor i bought for the rims and front end parts will the shifter and towers interchange on these or do i have to swap out the whole trany

yes that is a very real posabillity
as this 45 also has traction boost
but my wd has been competly repainted
i bought the 45 for parts as i got it for 1/2 what scap would bring
its got good rims a rebuilt wide front axle new starter on it and what looks like a faily new rad but not sure the trans is any good as it won't shift into any gear but reverse
im thinking about freeing the motor and see if it would run or not then decide from there
will have to really think this one over
wasn't looking for another project

WD has the same hyd system as WD45, so has Traction Booster- just doesn"t have the gauge. You could transfer the gauge to the WD. IDK if transmission gears and shafts would interchange. You could exchange rear end or diff assemblies, leaving less to repaint.

FYI If your WD was a later model with the curved shift lever it would have the same transmission as a WD45...however your 1950 is totally different, so no go!
