Collector Profile for Doug & Tracy Dennison

We live in south central Ky. in the middle of what we have always been able to call 'tobacco country'. (ask me in a few years if we still do!!) My husband and I both work public jobs in order to continue farming!!! We raise tobacco and beef cattle on the farm and of course--collect old iron. What started as a hobby several years ago has turned into another parttime job for Doug, who is now restoring some tractors for other people. We collect all brands but suppose we are most loyal to John Deere. Currently in our collection, we have a 40 Hi-Crop (all-fuel), 2010 Hi-crop, 3020 Hi-Crop, A, 420, 430, 420 Crawler, 77 Oliver, C Case, and on and on and on!!! We have restored some of them and the others are waiting for us to get the time. We really enjoy the antique shows during the summer and always plan our vactions around a big show somewhere in the states. We have been to Iowa, Indiana, Illinios, Missouri and this past year to North Carolina. When time does come to retire..we already know what we will be doing. Most everyone we have meet has been super nice people and very helpful in our quest. I hope that we have instilled some of the 'bug' in our children--so they too, will carry on the tradition.
